10. Lal Bahadur Shastri didn’t die of a heart attack.
Lal Bahadur Shastri died in Tashkent, on the day after signing the Tashkent Declaration, reportedly due to a heart attack, but people claim conspiracy behind the death. The KGB suspected that he was poisoned. On seeing strange blue patches on Shastri’s body after his body was brought to Delhi, his mother apparently screamed that someone had poisoned her son. What’s even more baffling is that no post mortem was carried out on Shastri’s body.
11. Kapil Dev was the kingpin behind Azharuddin’s biggest match fixing scandal.
In 2000, Mohammad Azharuddin was accused of fixing a match. Some people believe that Kapil Dev was the kingpin in the whole match fixing scandal, and Azhar was just an unlucky man who got caught. The BCCI was also worried about the negative impact that this could have on the game.
12. The Harappan civilization was an alien experiment.
As far-fetched as it may sound, conspiracy theorists are obsessed with aliens. Some believe that the Harappan civilization was supposedly built by the help of aliens because of the well structured drainage and sewage systems that couldn’t have been built without the highly developed skills of engineering and architectural intellect.
13. The Purulia Arms Drop Case was a conspiracy of the Indian Government with RAW and MI5
On 17 December 1995, unauthorized arms were dropped from an Antonov An-26 aircraft in Purulia district in the state of West Bengal in India. The chief accused Kim Davy claims that it was a conspiracy of the Congress Indian government together with RAW and MI5 hoping to precipitate an insurgency in West Bengal and thereby creating a pretext to impose President’s rule in West Bengal.
